We went to the pumpkin patch over the weekend and I couldn’t help but think how the last time we went to the pumpkin patch, Ryan was a brand new, tiny little dude. How he didn’t have any clue where he was, much less who he was with.
I marveled at how big he seems now in comparison. How much has changed. How he could stand at the pumpkins now and roll them around, rather than just be propped in front of them for a photo.
I went back through last year’s photos so I could get teary over how different and grown up he seems now. Imagine my surprise when I discovered this photo:
Maybe I’m crazy, but it looks to me like he’s still got the same “Pumpkins? Who cares about pumpkins?” look:
It seems the kid can get older and bigger and learn how to do new things, but one thing may never change: he may never lose that stoic look.
