Last week, Mike and I received an invitation from Ryan’s “school” to this:

I nearly fainted when I realized my kid was going to be “participating” in a school recital. Cuz he’s 15 months old and, well, doesn’t say more than “Dada” and “Buh” (Belle) and “Dis” (this). Naturally, this did not stop me from rushing there after work yesterday, camera in tow.
Turns out, Ryan’s class was planning to listen to a CD of sing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” It went a little something like this…
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star… how I wonder what you are… 

(Star hat comes off.)
Up above the world so high… Like a diamond in the sky…

(The other kids stand and stare at the stereo; Ryan sits and stares at the audience.)
