“Auntie Meghan?”

I glance to my right at the oldest of my three nieces. We’re in Ohio visiting my family and we’re all sitting around the extra-long dining room table my parents bought especially for large family dinners like this one.

“Yes?” I respond, expecting her to ask me to play a game of Trouble after dinner or teach me a spell straight from Harry Potter himself.

“How long do you think we’ll be able to keep BlueJay?”

Oh.
